monstersoffolkx said: I feel as if some black people are brought up to think the world is out to get them, that they're at a disadvantage because their black, that it's put in their heads that their parents think they're beautiful but others of different races don't. When really it's not true (yes there are still some racist scum in this world that think that) but most don't. Being black you're not at a disadvantage you have all the same opportunities as others, EVERYONE is fighting just as hard to succeed in life!

weloveblackgirls:

I literally waited an entire day to show everyone this . Don’t you ever come in my inbox with this bullshit . Everything you’re saying is an illusion . You really think people of color have the same opportunities as white folk???? Check your privilege please . Do not speak for us . Black people grow up thinking the exact opposite of what you said , to only be brutally hit with the reality of the fact that we are oppressed

"You can’t just change the race of cultural icons like Captain America! It’s an important part of their identity and message!"

Jesus: Can’t imagine who would do that.

Jesus: What a shame.

Florida city police department embedded with KKK members
July 21, 2014

Ann Hunnewell and her central Florida police officer husband knelt in the living room of a fellow officer’s home, with pillow cases as makeshift hoods over their heads. A few words were spoken and they, along with a half-dozen others, were initiated into the local chapter of the Ku Klux Klan, she says.

Last week, that initiation ceremony, which took place five years ago, stunned residents of the small town of Fruitland Park, who found out an investigative report linked two city officers with the secret hate society that once was violently active in the area. Ann Hunnewell’s ex-husband, George Hunnewell, was fired, and deputy chief David Borst resigned from the 13-member Fruitland Park Police Department. Borst has denied being a member.

James Elkins, a third officer who Ann Hunnewell says recruited her and her husband, resigned in 2010 after his Klan ties became public.
